Misbehaving Thai police are issued with 'Hello Kitty' armbands .
Apparently, tartan armbands were trialled, but proved popular rather than punishing. Can't imagine why - tartan has been passé since at least the late nineties.

Look, I blogged this a while back & all these people of scots descent descended on me with abuse...
But tartan, like bagpipes, is a cruel joke subtly played upon the Scots by I think, the English.
Much like Karaoke is a cruel jape played on the West, by the Japs.
